OCBC HISTORY
The Orange County Business Council formed in 1995 through the merger of the 100-year old Orange County Chamber of Commerce, the Industrial League of Orange County, the Orange County Economic Development Consortium, and the public private think tank, Partnership 2010. OCBC accomplishes its mission by leading a high-profile, pro-active advocacy program at the county, state, and federal level for business interests throughout California and the nation, focusing on three core initiatives: to improve infrastructure, enhance workforce development, increase the supply of workforce housing and maintaining robust economic development.
OCBC’s history of accomplishments includes assisting in reorganizing local governance structures, advancing business-friendly legislation, leading local and regional economic development opportunities, helping charitable partners achieve their financial objectives, promoting high-tech and innovation initiatives, and numerous other programs.
Through its core initiatives and other programs, OCBC works to make Orange County a better place to live, work, and raise a family. |
