CTC hearing — bringing home funding for OC

On August 16 and 17, OCBC President and CEO Lucy Dunn, met in Oakland as a member of the California Transportation Commission to consider policy and funding opportunities for mobility projects around the state. Orange County benefited from favorable commission votes awarding, among other things, $695,000 for Huntington Street along Route 1 in Huntington Beach for traffic signal modifications, lighting and pavement improvements to reduce traffic collisions; $2.5 million for the City of Orange and Anaheim from the Santa Ana River to Harbor Blvd. along Route 5 for improvements to reduce collisions; extension of time for $1.2 million for Santa Ana, San Juan Capistrano, Anaheim and the County of Orange for alternative transportation projects like bike lanes; and $14 million for improvements in Laguna Beach, La Habra, Fullerton, Brea, and Placentia.
