Comprised of leaders in business, academia, and government, the Workforce and Economic Development Committees are collaborating to discuss a variety issues relating to workforce development and economic growth in Orange County.
This meeting will be held in hybrid format. Learn more about the Community Economic Resilience Fund (CERF), a state grant that was created to promote a sustainable and equitable recovery from the economic distress of COVID-19 by supporting new plans and strategies to diversify local economies and develop sustainable industries that create high-quality, broadly accessible jobs for all Californians. To be truly inclusive, Orange County needs involvement from business, labor, community, government, education, economic development, federally and non-federally recognized tribes, and other key stakeholder groups. There will be $5 million granted to Orange County to plan for programs that are ultimately eligible for up to $500 million in funding in a later phase.
