As Disneyland Resort enters a new chapter of growth and innovation, Thomas Mazloum, pictured right, has been named president, succeeding Ken Potrock, pictured left, who will step into the newly created role of president of The Walt Disney Company Major Events Integration, effective March 2025. Mazloum’s appointment comes at a pivotal time, with DisneylandForward paving the way for decades of expansion and the resort gearing up to celebrate its 70th Anniversary.
Mazloum’s Disney career, spanning 25 years, is defined by operational excellence, innovative leadership and a passion for guest and cast experiences. Most recently, as president of Disney Signature Experiences, he oversaw the growth of the Disney Cruise Line fleet, the global expansion of Adventures by Disney and the success of Disney Vacation Club. With experience leading resort hotels, Disney Springs and transportation systems at Walt Disney World, Mazloum’s expertise uniquely positions him to lead Disneyland Resort through its next era of transformation.
Ken Potrock, who has been named president of The Walt Disney Company Major Events Integration, leaves a lasting impact at Disneyland Resort. During his tenure, Potrock guided the resort through its successful post-pandemic reopening, secured approval for DisneylandForward, and oversaw transformative projects like the opening of Avengers Campus, the expansion of the Downtown Disney District and the reimagining of Pixar Place Hotel. In his new role, he will focus on maximizing the company’s value during large-scale global events, such as the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics to the 250th anniversary of the nation.
“With the launch of the 70th Anniversary celebration later this year, the addition of new experiences underway and the opportunities for growth, there couldn’t be a more thrilling time to take on this role,” said Mazloum. “I am honored to be asked to lead the incredible Disneyland Resort team and remain committed to upholding the culture and legacy of Walt’s first park, while building the future.”
As president of Disneyland Resort, Mazloum will oversee the operation of Disneyland park and Disney California Adventure park, three resort hotels and Downtown Disney District, while leading more than 36,000 cast members.
