Nate Shinagawa is Senior Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of UCI Health, where he oversees daily operations of a five-hospital enterprise with annual net revenue of over $3.5 billion and 13,000 employees.

Nate has served in hospital senior leadership for over 14 years, including in chief operating officer and vice president roles at Banner Health and the Guthrie Clinic. For 10 years, he represented Ithaca, NY, as a county legislator where he championed policies to improve healthcare access and quality.

He has been recognized as a Becker’s Healthcare Health System COO to Know (2023), Under 40 Rising Star (2023) and Academic Medical Center COO to Know (2024).

He received his Bachelor of Arts (BA) and Master’s in Health Administration (MHA) from Cornell University.
