Tyler Holst, PE, is Senior Vice President of Infrastructure Engineering for Rancho Mission Viejo, a family-owned ranching, farming and real estate development company in South Orange County, California. With 6,000 acres, 14,000+ homes, and more than five million square feet of non-residential uses including schools, parks, recreational facilities, community farms, and retail and office centers, Rancho Mission Viejo is poised to become a landmark community of mixed-use, inter-generational villages.

In addition to housing, schools, retail centers and public amenities, Rancho Mission Viejo provides residents and visitors with an interconnected system of miles of arterial roadways, carefully integrated with a regional network of hiking trails and biking paths, as well as agrarian spaces and natural habitats.

Tyler works closely with agency staff to meet project conditions, negotiates agency public-private agreements, facilitates the design of infrastructure construction documents, and prepares annual budgets for capital projects. He is part of a senior executive team overseeing implementation of the Ranch Plan including facilitating the design of community and infrastructure construction documents, negotiating public-private agreements, and forecasting capital projects expenditures.

Prior to joining Rancho Mission Viejo, Tyler spent 18 years at Kimley-Horn where he led the Development Services team working on public improvement projects, roadway infrastructure, water resource projects, healthcare, senior living, and commercial retail development projects throughout Southern California. At Kimley-Horn, Tyler was known for his ability to promote best practices, create new opportunities, and deliver exceptional results to clients.

Tyler holds a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering from the University of Southern California in Los Angeles, California. He is a professional engineer, registered in the state of California. He resides in Newport Beach with his wife and three young children.
