The U.S. Department of Labor has approved OC Pathways’—the Orange County Department of Education’s career technical education (CTE) program—newly launched apprenticeship program. The program, led by a countywide consortium of industry leaders and organizations, aligns with Gov. Newsom’s statewide goal to create 500,000 apprenticeships by 2029. The U.S. Department of Labor’s approval, during National Apprenticeship Week, highlights OC Pathway’s efforts to expand apprenticeship courses for learners, creating talent pipelines while supporting the economy and underserved communities.
