IRVINE, CA (November 8, 2024) — Orange County Business Council (OCBC) announced today that Dr. Stefan Bean, Orange County Superintendent of Schools for the Orange County Department of Education (OCDE), has joined OCBC’s Board of Directors.
“I am honored to have this community leader join our board of directors,” said Jeffrey Ball, President and CEO of Orange County Business Council. “His insights and talents will be invaluable for the Business Council as we continue to advance the economic development of the nation’s sixth most populous county with a focus on workforce, housing and infrastructure initiatives.”
Appointed this past June as the 12th Orange County Superintendent of Schools at OCDE, Dr. Stefan Bean has devoted 25 years to Southern California’s communities and students. Prior to joining OCDE, he served as the executive director of the Irvine International Academy and held senior leadership roles at Aspire Public Schools in Los Angeles, where he oversaw 11 schools. Dr. Bean’s academic credentials include a bachelor’s degree from the University of Southern California, a master’s degree in educational leadership from Loyola Marymount University and a doctorate in educational administration from California State University, Fullerton.
